After School Activities
Hi- I am interested in speaking with you about offering after school enrichment activities at your school. My vision for your school is to provide these services: 1. Provide after school enrichment classes such as: soccer, basketball, guitar, robotics, chess, etc at your school. 2. Provide a service which will make offering after school programs less stressful for the PTA and school administrators: we provide all enrichment classes with thorough background checks for staff, host and maintain a 24/7 school appropriate website with a catalog and list of offerings, and handle all registration online. Even allow those who do not have online access a way to register via paper format. Lastly, coordinate with volunteer(s) to offer a year around calendar for school programs. I look forward to speaking with you further about this opportunity. Please do not hesitate to contact me via email or phone. Regards, Bryan bryan@kssprograms.com Tel. 815.540.8511 website: www.ks

Summer Baseball Camp at Wootton
Hello, I'm JD Marchand. I teach math and am the varsity baseball coach at Wootton HS. Last year I started a summer baseball camp at Wootton and am trying to reach cluster schools in the area to let them know about the camp this year. Our goal is to help the players improve their skills in baseball and let them meet high school and college players. The camp is open to anyone ages 8-13, not just the Wootton cluster. The RM cluster shares a common goal with Wootton in that they all play on the same American Legion team. This team consists of Wootton, Gaithersburg and the Richard Montgomery Cluster. My question to you is what is the best way for me to contact parents? I am contacting the other elementary and middle school PTA presidents to let them know as well. Thanks so much for you help and feel free to call me at the number below or email me back. Thanks again, JD Marchand www.performancesportscamps.com Submitted By: JD Marchand

Latino Educational Speaker (Spring 2012)
Hello, I'm PTA President at Brookhaven Elementary in Aspen Hill. Can Twinbrook ES's PTA partner with Brookhaven PTA to bring a dynamic educational speaker to our area in Spring 2012 (specifically April or May)? I found Carlos Ojeda Jr. online when I Googled "Latino Motivational Speaker". http://www.carlosojedajr.com/about I have not seen him in person however he looks like a phenomenal presenter. His story is amazing, the way he turned his life around from slacker to college graduate + inspirational overachiever. I'd him to speak at Brookhaven and (more importantly) to the middle & high school students in our cluster. His "negotiable" $2,500 fee is beyond Brookhaven PTA's Cultural Arts budget for one assembly so I need to team up with other schools to bring him to our area. If we book him in the same area/same day, our costs will be lowered. Please look at his website when you have a chance and let me know if this is something Twinbrook ES's PTA can invest in.

overcrowding in the RM cluster
My name is John Spano and I'm the treasurer of the Beall Elementary PTA. I was wondering if you post the message below on the Ritchie Park listserv about the overcrowding problems facing our cluster and hoepfully encourage people to write to the mayor and council. Dear Richard Montgomery School community, As you all know first-hand, the current overcrowding at our schools is a serious concern and something which MCPS forecasts will worsen in the coming years. See school capacities below. The "program capacity", means what the school facilities and staff is designed to accommodate. Because we know many of you are deeply troubled by this issue, we wanted to bring to your attention some changes to legislation that a Rockville Councilmember will be proposing this coming Monday evening, October 4th. Unfortunately, the changes being proposed would surely add additional students to our school at a time when our teachers, administrators and staff, and our school facilities t
